Greetings Crystalworks community!
Happy Chinese New Year! 2018 is the Year of the Dog. Since Dogs are symbols of the coming of fortune we can all expect a successful and vibrant new year.
We are almost finished winter and the cold and rains have abated. As the Earth awakens from these dark months, we start to see the tell tale signs that spring is on the way! Dragons are the topic of the month with a special offer of 20% off all of our treasure trove of these magical creations. Dragons are legendary creatures with serpent, reptile or bird-like traits. Chinese dragons are usually depicted as serpent-like animals with above average intelligence. In China, depiction of dragons can be found in artifacts dating back to the 16th century BC. Archaeologist Zhou Chong-Fa is convinced that the Chinese word for dragon is onomatopoeia for the sound of thunder claps. The Chinese dragon is the highest-ranking animal in China’s animal hierarchy, where they are revered.
So come and celebrate the end of winter and the beginning of spring with us and enjoy the beauty that we are so very happy to share with all of you in the Crystalworks Gallery! We have just returned from the Tucson Gem and Mineral show, so there will be lots of new treasures to discover.
